Joanne is a children's writer from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, who has written poems, articles, and pieces of fiction for several children's magazines.
Joanne grew up in northern Minnesota near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, where the boreal forest reigns supreme; I have always lived close to nature. It clears my head, ignites my creativity, and feeds my spirit. I love to read, write, and paint. But hanging out at our lake cottage with my husband and our Scottie is what I like best of all! We have three grown children and two grandchildren who all love books.
Joanne has published two books about dogs. A new picture book, Fiddleheads to Flytraps: Leaves in All Seasons, was published in 2013 by Mountain Press of Missoula, Montana.
